§ 9
Reference: questions and short answers
The questions people ask most before a stay, answered in two or three sentences each, with the chapter where the full evidence sits.
9.1Seventeen questions
- Q1How many rooms does Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton have?
- 26. The figure comes from Century Casinos' annual report on Form 10-K for 2025, which lists hotel rooms per property as of 31 December 2025.
- Q2What room types are there?
- Three: King, Double Queen and King Suite. All are described as non-smoking. The hotel does not publish how many of each exist.
- Q3Is parking free?
- Yes. The hotel's home page lists free underground heated parking, and the operator's 10-K describes a complimentary heated garage of about 300 spaces plus about 600 surface spaces.
- Q4Is there a pool, spa or gym?
- None is listed on any hotel page we could read. The nearest full facility we found is the City's Clareview Community Recreation Centre, near Clareview station; see section 7.1.
- Q5How far is the LRT?
- Belvedere station on the Capital Line is at Fort Road and 129 Avenue, about 160 metres in a straight line from the hotel's map pin by our measurement. On foot, Google Maps showed about 550 to 600 metres, roughly 8 minutes, on 1 November 2026.
- Q6How do I get here from the airport without a car?
- Take ETS Route 747 from Door 8 at the airport to Century Park Transit Centre, then the Capital Line north to Belvedere. The City lists a $6 fare on Route 747 and service from about 4:10 am to 12:30 am.
- Q7What is the minimum age for the casino and the comedy club?
- 18. Alberta's casino terms define a minor as under 18, and Yuk Yuk's says no minors are allowed on its premises. Government-issued ID is required.
- Q8Are pets allowed?
- The hotel does not publish a pet policy. Ask in the request form and we will put the question to the hotel before anything is confirmed.
- Q9What are check-in and check-out times?
- They are not published on the pages we could read. Give your arrival time in the form and ask the desk at check-in about check-out.
- Q10Is breakfast included?
- The hotel does not say so. Mid City Grill's hours line in October 2026 showed Thursday to Sunday, 4 pm to midnight, so do not count on breakfast in the building without asking.
- Q11What is in every room?
- Each room type lists individually controlled heating and air conditioning, a 32-inch LCD television, a Keurig coffee machine, an iron and ironing board, a microwave, an alarm clock and a mini-fridge. The suite has two televisions.
- Q12How big is the Showroom?
- 10,700 sq ft with about 500 seats, according to the operator's 10-K. The hotel's event page also says it seats up to 500.
- Q13How many seats does Yuk Yuk's have?
- The club says 120. The operator's 10-K describes the room as about 200 seats. We print both.
- Q14Does sending the form book a room?
- No. It sends a request to our desk. We check availability and the rate with the hotel or a booking partner and reply by email. Nothing is booked until you accept a confirmation, and we never ask for card details.
- Q15Who pays this site?
- When a request sent through our form becomes a confirmed stay, the hotel or the booking partner that completes it pays us a commission. You pay us nothing. Details are in section 11.2.
- Q16Is this the hotel's official website?
- No. Fort Road Hotel Guide is independent. The official site is cnty.com/edmonton.
- Q17Where can I get help with gambling?
- In Alberta, the AHS Addiction and Mental Health Helpline answers 24 hours a day on 1-866-332-2322 or 811, and the GameSense Info Line is 1-833-447-7523. Our responsible gambling page lists more options, including self-exclusion.
