§ 3

Food and drink under one roof

The building has one restaurant, one sports bar and lounge, and two further bars. This chapter lists what each one is for, the opening hours we could confirm with a date, and the gaps that matter to a hotel guest.

Section checked against sources on 31 October 2026. Independent guide — not the hotel's website.

3.1The inventory

Century Casinos' annual report describes the Edmonton property as having “a restaurant, a sports bar and lounge and two additional bars”. The hotel's bars page speaks of “three fashionable bars”. Both descriptions arrive at the same count once you treat the sports bar as one of the three. Here is how they line up:

Food and drink outlets, as named by the operator
OutletWhat it isHours we could confirmDate of the source
Mid City GrillSit-down restaurantThursday to Sunday, 4 pm to midnightCapture of 3 Oct 2026
Celly's Sports Bar & LoungeSports bar with big screens and its own menuDaily 9:30 am to 2 am; kitchen to 1:30 amCapture of 2 Aug 2025 (older)
Two further barsCocktails, beer and wineNot published—

We print the date of each source because restaurant hours in casino buildings change more often than anything else on the property. A line that was right in summer can be wrong by the first snow.

3.2Mid City Grill

  1. What the hotel says. The page invites you in for “a great breakfast, lunch or dinner” and describes dishes “from around the world as well as Alberta favorites”. The menu is split into food, drinks, desserts and a monthly features card.
  2. What the hours line says. The same page, captured on 3 October 2026, shows “Restaurant Hours: 4:00pm – 12:00am Thursday – Sunday”. That is an evening-only schedule on four nights, which does not match the breakfast-and-lunch wording above it.
  3. How we read the conflict. We trust the hours line, because it is specific and recent, and the blurb reads like older copy that was never updated. If breakfast matters to your stay, ask; we put the question to the hotel for you.
  4. Loyalty specials. The page notes that members of the casino's loyalty programme get food specials and drink offers. We mention this only because it explains why some menu prices on the property differ by guest.

3.3Celly's Sports Bar & Lounge

The sports bar has been renamed at least once: its web address still contains the word “mingles”, the bar's former name, while the page itself now says Celly's. The copy is about screens and game nights — “every day is game day” — and the menu tabs list a main menu, happy hour, daily specials and a weekend brunch.

  1. Hours. 9:30 am to 2 am, seven days a week, with the kitchen open until 1:30 am and liquor service to 2 am. This comes from an August 2025 capture, the newest one that loaded for that page, so treat it as a guide rather than a promise.
  2. Why it matters to hotel guests. On the three nights a week when the Grill is closed (Monday to Wednesday, according to the October hours line), the sports bar kitchen is the only hot food in the building that we could find.
  3. Weekend brunch. Listed as a menu tab. The page does not say which hours brunch runs, so the hotel or our desk has to confirm it for you.

3.4The bars and the off-track betting lounge

Beyond the two named outlets, the operator describes bars serving cocktails, beer and wine, and the off-track betting area has “a stylish dining area, comfortable bars, 14 mounted HD-TVs and plenty of seating”. If you are staying for a racing day, that lounge is effectively a second sports bar with racing on every screen. Chapter 5 describes it in neutral terms.

3.5Eating late, eating early: our practical plan

  1. Arriving Monday to Wednesday evening. Plan on Celly's, or bring something for the room. Every room type lists a microwave and a mini-fridge.
  2. Arriving Thursday to Sunday. Mid City Grill opens at 4 pm. On a Showroom night, ask the desk whether tables can be held before the doors open, because the hotel does not publish a reservation rule for the Grill.
  3. Breakfast. The hotel pages do not say breakfast is included in the room rate, and the Grill's October hours start at 4 pm. Ask before you assume. Londonderry Mall, about 2.7 km away by our calculation, is the nearest large shopping centre.
  4. Coffee. A single-cup Keurig machine is listed for every room type, so the first cup does not depend on any outlet being open.

3.6Dinner-and-show packages and food features

Two kinds of food offers appear in our sources, and neither carries a price we can print. Yuk Yuk's Edmonton advertises a New Year's Eve dinner-and-show package and a holiday dinner-and-show package for groups of six or more with a three-course plated meal, bookings required. Separately, in September 2025 the hotel listed weekly food features for loyalty members, among them a Sunday steak and shrimp plate, a Monday Ukrainian platter, a Tuesday taco night, a Wednesday plated breakfast and a Thursday prime rib. That list is more than a year old; we give it as an example of the kind of food the kitchen does, not as this week's menu.

3.7Gift cards

The hotel sells gift cards online. According to the gift card page captured in September 2026, they can be spent on hotel stays, food and drink, and merchandise. If someone is giving you a night here as a present, that is the official route; our desk cannot sell or redeem the cards.

Alcohol is served in the bars and the restaurant, and ID is checked at the casino entrance. If you plan to drive after a show, a room upstairs means the car can stay in the free garage overnight and be collected in the morning.
