§ 4

Shows: a concert hall and a comedy club

Two stages share the building with the hotel. The larger one hosts concerts and receptions; the smaller one is a Yuk Yuk's comedy club. Section 4.1 lists the dated shows we could verify.

Section checked against sources on 31 October 2026. Independent guide — not the hotel's website.

4.ATwo rooms, two sets of rules

The stages compared

SeatsAbout 500 (annual report; the event page says “up to 500”)120 according to the club; about 200 according to the operator
ProgrammeRecording artists, blues, country and tribute bandsStand-up, usually three comedians per show
AgeNot stated for concerts; the casino rule is 18+18+, no minors on the premises, ID required
BarFully licensed barDrinks served at tables

The two seat counts for the comedy room deserve a word. The club itself publishes “Capacity: 120 seats”. The operator's annual report describes a second showroom of 3,000 sq ft “seating approximately 200” where Yuk Yuk's performances are hosted. We think the difference is layout — cabaret tables for comedy, rows of chairs for other uses — but neither source says so, so we print both.

  1. What plays there. The hotel's shows page names four kinds of act: “popular recording artist bands”, blues artists, country bands for two-stepping, and tribute bands.
  2. The room. The event-venue page describes “a professional grade stage with sound and light system” and a fully licensed bar. For receptions the same page adds a full production team.
  3. Recent billing. The hotel's home page in September 2026 promoted an act billed as “Haywire” and a “Moon Festival 2026”. Neither promotion carried a date we could read, so we list them without one.
  4. Dates. The Showroom calendar did not load for us from any source we could use. Ask our desk which concert falls on your dates and we will check before confirming a room.

Yuk Yuk's runs its Edmonton club inside the Century Casino building, and the club's own FAQ and club details give a clear set of house rules. We summarise them here:

  1. Age and ID. Shows are 18+, no minors are allowed on the premises, and government-issued ID is required to enter both the casino and the club.
  2. Content. Shows are uncensored. One of the 2027 special shows is listed as adult-rated on top of that.
  3. Length and line-up. About 90 minutes to two hours, usually with three comedians: a host, a middle act and a feature.
  4. Doors and seats. Doors open one hour before showtime and seating is first come, first served. If you care where you sit, be at the door when it opens.
  5. Dress code. None.
  6. Access. The club describes itself as fully wheelchair accessible.
  7. Contact. edmonton@yukyuks.com or 780-481-9857 for club questions; our desk handles only rooms.

4.DThe weekly comedy pattern

From the listings we read on 31 October 2026, the club runs a Pro-Am night on Thursdays and a headliner on Friday and Saturday, with one show on Friday and two on Saturday. In November 2026 the Friday show was at 7:30 pm and the Saturday shows at 7 pm and 9:30 pm. That rhythm decides which room night you need: a Saturday late show ends close to midnight, which is exactly when a bed upstairs pays for itself.

4.EFundraisers

The hotel's shows page mentions a “Comedy For A Cause” package for teams and organisations raising money. No terms are published; the club or the hotel's group team handles it. If you are organising one and need rooms for performers or volunteers, mention the date in our form.
