The Double Queen room
The only room type with two beds. The hotel describes it as “spacious” and “bright” and gives it the same equipment list as the King.
2.2.1What the hotel lists
- Non-smoking.
- Two queen-sized plush pillow-top beds.
- Individually controlled heating and air-conditioning system.
- 32″ LCD television.
- Keurig coffee machine.
- Ice bucket.
- Iron and ironing board.
- Microwave.
- Alarm clock.
- Mini-fridge.
The introduction reads: “After dining in our restaurant, or playing on our Casino floor, unwind in this spacious, bright room, featuring two Queen size pillow top beds.” We quote it because it is the only description of the room's character the hotel gives; we have not measured the room and the hotel does not publish its size.
2.2.2Who the two beds are for
- Two friends at a comedy weekend. Yuk Yuk's runs Friday and Saturday headliners most weeks; two people sharing a Double Queen is the obvious set-up.
- A parent and an adult child. Remember the age rule: everyone using the casino or the comedy club must be 18 or older.
- Colleagues on a short work trip. Two beds, an iron, a fridge for lunch supplies and a free garage for the work van.
- Wedding guests. If the reception is in the Showroom, two guests can share and skip the drive home.
2.2.3Occupancy: what we do not know
The hotel does not state how many people may sleep in a Double Queen. Two queen beds suggest four, but rules on maximum occupancy, extra charges and rollaway beds are set by the hotel and are not published on the pages we could read. If you plan to put three or four adults in one room, write the number in the form. We will not confirm a request until the hotel or the booking partner has confirmed the head count.
2.2.4Comparing it with the King
| Point | Double Queen | King |
|---|---|---|
| Beds | Two queen pillow-top | One king pillow-top |
| Equipment list | Identical | Identical |
| Hotel's own adjectives | Spacious, bright | Relaxing retreat |
| Best for | Two people who want their own bed | One or two people sharing |
2.2.5Practical notes
- Bring an extension cable if two people need to charge devices by the bed; the hotel does not list socket positions.
- The mini-fridge is shared by two, so keep it for essentials.
- If you arrive by LRT, Belvedere station is a short walk; with luggage for two, open the walking route from the station in chapter 6 before you set off.
