§ 1.1

Public ratings: one number, read carefully

We report only what we saw ourselves, with the platform, the count and the date. We do not quote or paraphrase individual reviews, and we do not invent “guest stories”.

Section checked against sources on 31 October 2026. Independent guide — not the hotel's website.

1.1.2How to read that number

  1. It covers the whole building. The Google card is for “Century Casino & Hotel Edmonton”, so reviews of the casino, the restaurant, the shows and the hotel are mixed together. The card does not separate overnight guests from casino and show visitors, and with 26 rooms the hotel is a small part of the building.
  2. The count is large. Several thousand reviews means one bad or good night does not move the average much.
  3. The star label is not an inspection. “3-star hotel” is a label shown by Google; we found no official hotel grading behind it.
  4. It changes. The figures are a snapshot of one day. Open the card for the current number.

1.1.3What we could not read

Tripadvisor, Booking.com, Expedia and Hotels.com either refused automated reading or were not checked, so we have no figures from them and we do not summarise their content. We would rather show one honest number than four guessed ones.

1.1.4How our own assessment differs

Our assessment is not a score. It is a list of facts that make the hotel a good or a poor fit for a particular trip — parking, the train, the shows, the missing pool. A public rating tells you how people felt; our assessment tells you what is there.

The Google Maps card is the source for every number on this page; open it to see the current rating and the reviews themselves.

Questions about a stay are best put to the hotel directly or to our desk through the form.Official site: cnty.com/edmonton ↗
