About the handbook

11.1.1What we are

1. A single-hotel handbook. Every page is about one property on Fort Road NW and the trips people make to it.
2. Independent. The site is not owned or run by the hotel, by Century Casinos, Inc., by VICI or by any booking platform.
3. New. The site went online in 2026. We do not claim a readership or a history we do not have.
4. Written by an editorial desk. We sign as “the desk” rather than with invented names. Questions go to hello@fortroadhotelguide.com.

11.1.2How we gather facts

1. Order of trust. The operator's legal filings and the hotel's own pages first; then the regulator, the City of Edmonton and the airport; then partners such as Yuk Yuk's and tourism bodies; Wikipedia only as a secondary source, and labelled so.
2. Archived pages. The hotel's website refused our automated reading, so we read its pages through dated Internet Archive captures and say which capture each fact comes from.
3. Our own calculations. Drive distances and times are calculated from the Google Maps pin of the hotel on a public route planner, without traffic, and labelled as ours.
4. No source, no fact. Where the hotel does not publish something — check-in times, pets, room sizes — we say so instead of filling the gap.

11.1.3What we do not do

• We do not write fake reviews, invented guest stories or quotes we did not read.
• We do not take payment for positive coverage. No one can buy a sentence in this handbook.
• We do not describe the casino as a reason to visit or give gambling tips.
• We do not print room prices, because they change by date and channel.

11.1.4Illustrations

The pictures on this site are illustrations drawn for the handbook in the style of a printed guest manual. None of them is a photograph of the hotel, and each caption says so. For photographs, use the hotel's own website.

11.1.5Corrections

If a fact here is wrong or out of date, email hello@fortroadhotelguide.com with the section number and, if you can, a link to a source. We correct the page, change the “checked” date and keep a note of what changed in the section's source list.
